Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security standards are met.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features on time.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into our technical stack where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the Cowrywise platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a software engineer, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including agile methodologies, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in the fintech industry is a plus.
