We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC). As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our organization's end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our business processes.
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity problems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement and manage IT infrastructure projects.
- Educate end-users on the proper use of hardware and software applications.
- Maintain accurate records of IT support activities and resolutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) will be an added advantage.
