The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Officer in Nigeria. As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for the successful planning, implementation, and monitoring of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to IOM standards and guidelines. Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Implementation:
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing challenges promptly.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration.
- Conduct regular meetings and consultations with project partners to enhance cooperation.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Collect and analyze data to measure project impact and success.
- Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive project reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required documentation.
- Capacity Building:
- Provide training and support to project staff and partners.
- Promote knowledge-sharing and best practices within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (International Relations, Development Studies, Social Sciences, etc.).
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in the field of migration or humanitarian assistance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
