We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Coordinator to join our team in Kano for the 2023/2024 recruitment cycle.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate all medical activities in the assigned project area.
Develop and implement medical strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Provide technical support and guidance to the medical team, ensuring adherence to MSF protocols and standards.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate medical services with overall project objectives.
Manage and monitor the medical budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Conduct regular assessments of health needs and contribute to the development of appropriate response strategies.
Build and maintain positive relationships with local health authorities, partners, and communities.
Participate in the recruitment, training, and supervision of medical staff.
Ensure the proper functioning of medical facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

Medical Doctor degree with a valid license to practice.
Previous experience in a similar role with humanitarian organizations or international NGOs.
Strong understanding of public health issues, particularly in crisis contexts.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a multicultural and challenging environment.
Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
Willingness to travel and work in remote or insecure areas.
