As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Regional Manager. This role is pivotal in driving our mission to empower communities and promote socio-economic growth in Africa.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve regional goals aligned with the organization's overall mission.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities, to enhance the impact of ODG Africa's initiatives.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the implementation of various projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Financial Management: Manage regional budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the successful execution of programs.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare regular reports on regional activities, evaluate project outcomes, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Advocacy: Advocate for ODG Africa's mission at regional and international forums, promoting awareness and garnering support.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Development, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within the development sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing regional programs.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and execution skills with the ability to translate organizational goals into actionable plans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen understanding of the socio-economic and political landscape in the region.
