The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Humanitarian Aid Officers. As a Humanitarian Aid Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering assistance to those affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. This challenging yet rewarding position requires individuals with a strong commitment to humanitarian principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in diverse and demanding environments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify the needs of affected populations and develop appropriate response plans.
• Coordinate and implement humanitarian assistance programs, including the distribution of relief supplies and provision of essential services.
• Collaborate with local communities, government authorities, and other humanitarian organizations to ensure effective and coordinated response efforts.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of humanitarian interventions, making adjustments as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Advocate for the rights and well-being of affected populations in accordance with international humanitarian law.
• Provide training and capacity-building support to local staff and communities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Relations, Social Sciences, or Humanitarian Assistance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in humanitarian aid or related field.
• Strong understanding of international humanitarian law and principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
• Willingness to travel and work in challenging environments.
