Internship Tracks
Broadcast Internships
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching, fact-checking, and transcribing footage.
- Assisting on shoots and sourcing images and videos.
- Contributing story and show ideas in editorial meetings.
- Supporting producers in creating high-quality news content.
Available Roles:
- Newsdesk: Monitor breaking news, fact-check information, and coordinate live reports.
- Current Affairs (Amanpour & Isa Soares Tonight): Assist with researching and planning stories for in-depth news programmes.
- Features: Work on storytelling across TV, digital, and social platforms.
- Interview Content Producing & Guest Booking: Identify and secure compelling interviewees for breaking news coverage.
- Business: Assist in finding and booking guests for business segments, researching market trends, and forward planning.
- World Sport: Cover sports news, book guests, and research stories beyond the headlines.
- Edit/Camera Internship: Assist the Editing and Camera teams with Premiere Pro editing, logging footage, and TV production.
Digital Internships
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching and writing articles for CNN’s digital platforms.
- Pitching and producing content for CNN’s homepage and mobile app.
- Assisting with video production, data visualisation, and interactive storytelling.
Available Roles:
- News: Research and write news stories, with opportunities to pitch and publish your own features.
- Programming: Curate CNN’s homepage, write push alerts, and edit landing pages.
- CNN Style & Opinion: Cover topics in fashion, art, and design with a digital journalism focus.
