Responsibilities
- Alpine Expedition Leadership: Lead and manage alpine expeditions, ensuring the safety, well-being, and satisfaction of participants.
- Outdoor Education Program Development: Design and implement outdoor education programs, incorporating both theoretical and practical elements to enhance learning experiences.
- Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with alpine activities, maintaining a focus on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Team Building: Facilitate team-building activities and workshops, fostering effective communication and collaboration among participants.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and care of alpine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns to enhance their overall experience.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to staff and participants on alpine skills, safety measures, and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Education, Adventure Recreation, or a related field. Advanced certifications in mountaineering and wilderness first aid are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in leading alpine expeditions and outdoor education programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in alpine and wilderness navigation, rock and ice climbing, and rescue techniques. Familiarity with outdoor education curriculum development is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in challenging environments.
