Responsibilities
  • Alpine Expedition Leadership: Lead and manage alpine expeditions, ensuring the safety, well-being, and satisfaction of participants.
  • Outdoor Education Program Development: Design and implement outdoor education programs, incorporating both theoretical and practical elements to enhance learning experiences.
  • Risk Management: Assess and manage risks associated with alpine activities, maintaining a focus on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Team Building: Facilitate team-building activities and workshops, fostering effective communication and collaboration among participants.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and care of alpine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns to enhance their overall experience.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to staff and participants on alpine skills, safety measures, and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Education, Adventure Recreation, or a related field. Advanced certifications in mountaineering and wilderness first aid are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in leading alpine expeditions and outdoor education programs.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in alpine and wilderness navigation, rock and ice climbing, and rescue techniques. Familiarity with outdoor education curriculum development is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams in challenging environments.
