In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding and supporting the next generation of professionals as they embark on their careers in the ever-evolving landscape of global development.
Responsibilities
- Individual Career Coaching: Provide personalized career guidance to recent graduates, assisting them in identifying and pursuing meaningful opportunities in the international development sector.
- Resume and Cover Letter Review: Conduct thorough reviews of resumes and cover letters, offering constructive feedback and tips to enhance applicants' marketability.
- Interview Preparation: Conduct mock interviews and provide strategies to help graduates excel in job interviews within the international development field.
- Job Search Strategy: Develop and implement effective job search strategies tailored to the unique goals and aspirations of each individual.
- Networking Support: Facilitate networking opportunities, connecting recent graduates with industry professionals and relevant contacts.
- Industry Insights: Stay informed about trends, job market dynamics, and opportunities within the international development sector to provide up-to-date advice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in career counseling, coaching, or related fields.
- Familiarity with the international development sector and knowledge of key players, trends, and job opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
