Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve operational excellence.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement within the operations function.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Risk Management: Assess and mitigate operational risks, implementing preventive measures and contingency plans as needed.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and evaluate operational performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering quality services and addressing customer concerns in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior operations management role within the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of operational processes, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
