Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits of extractive industry players to assess compliance with NEITI standards and regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial transactions within the extractive industries to detect any irregularities or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather data and information necessary for compliance assessments.
  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to extractive industry entities on compliance best practices.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging issues to ensure NEITI's standards remain relevant.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote awareness and understanding of NEITI compliance requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of extractive industry operations, financial systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant computer applications and auditing tools.
