Responsibilities

Conduct regular audits of extractive industry players to assess compliance with NEITI standards and regulations.
Monitor and evaluate financial transactions within the extractive industries to detect any irregularities or discrepancies.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather data and information necessary for compliance assessments.
Prepare detailed reports on compliance findings, including recommendations for corrective actions.
Provide guidance and support to extractive industry entities on compliance best practices.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging issues to ensure NEITI's standards remain relevant.
Engage in outreach activities to promote awareness and understanding of NEITI compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in auditing, compliance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of extractive industry operations, financial systems, and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in the use of relevant computer applications and auditing tools.
