The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) is seeking qualified and dynamic individuals to join our team as Education Officers. Responsibilities
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments of basic education programs to ensure compliance with standards and effectiveness in achieving educational goals.
- Capacity Building: Collaborate with local education authorities to identify training needs and facilitate workshops for teachers and education stakeholders.
- Policy Implementation: Implement UBEC policies and guidelines to improve the quality of basic education, ensuring alignment with national and international standards.
- Community Engagement: Foster partnerships with communities, parents, and local organizations to promote awareness of the importance of basic education and encourage community involvement.
- Data Analysis: Analyze educational data and trends to identify challenges and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations for evidence-based decision-making.
- Project Management: Manage and oversee basic education projects, ensuring timely and effective implementation, budget adherence, and quality control.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on the progress of basic education initiatives, including challenges, successes, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in education, project management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Nigeria's educational system, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
