Responsibilities
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Lead the development and implementation of public health programs in collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Design evidence-based interventions to address key public health challenges in Nigeria.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Establish and oversee robust monitoring and evaluation systems to track the progress and impact of public health programs.
- Analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making and program refinement.
- Capacity Building:
- Provide training and technical assistance to health professionals and community workers to enhance their capacity in public health practice.
- Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration among health partners.
- Policy Advocacy:
- Advocate for evidence-based policies that promote public health and address health disparities.
- Engage with government officials and other stakeholders to influence policy development.
- Emergency Response:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of emergency response plans for health crises.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies during public health emergencies.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public health program management.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian healthcare systems and public health challenges.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing health interventions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team.
